#movies in 2012 #one day #this movie was visually pleasing... and that's probably the only good thing I can say about this film #it depended way too much on the attractiveness of its actors to bring you into the story and appreciate the romance #but there's only so much anne hathaway's face can do #ok the biggest problem I have is that I didn't know why I was supposed to root for this couple until the end of the film #it's important to give the story at the beginning so I actually CARE about this couple #he was generally a douchebag the whole time and she was kind of a loser #boring boring boring #also: anne hathaway's accent was a trainwreck #and the beginning ~courting/fighting phase~ could have actually been funny #but nope they decided not to go that route #le sigh #just one great big sigh

#another 4.5/5 lol #I've just been watching really really good movies #a single man #movies in 2012 #ok I loooooved the use of color in this movie #the way the color would change in a scene along with the mood of the moment- it turned the bland into beautiful #fantastic #I love how tom ford used his background to make every shot beautiful #and I loved the relationship that we only see through flashbacks. it was very real to me #also I don't think I've ever seen a more beautiful cast #especially carlos #I mean oh my jesus

#movies in 2012 #batman begins #ok I really really really enjoyed this movie #christian bale is A+++ #liam neeson is A++ #michael caine is A++++++ #gary oldman is A+++ #katie holmes is C- #she's probably the only thing I didn't like in the film #though I'm not a huge fan of long car chase/action sequences #but the reveal of liam neeson being ras was really great and surprising to me #also omg I was surprised at the random joffrey that popped up #hehe #but yea I really really loved the use of fear as a weapon #and as something to be conquered #they did the bat fear/symbol really well #four for you christopher nolan #you go christopher nolan
